Director Olivier Assayas follows up his arthouse meta drama Clouds Of Sils Maria with a brilliantly ambiguous thriller about a personal shopper for a celebrity in Paris, trying to contact her recently deceased twin brother and quickly left dealing with the terrifying consequences. This is the second collaboration between Assayas and Kristen Stewart and even better than their first – at times creepy, seductive, confusing and heartbreaking. Personal Shopper slips through different genres before culminating in an ending that manages to be chilling, emotional and strangely beautiful all at the same time. Amongst it all is Stewart, giving the most revealing, soul opening and incredible performance of her career.
