The fall of Robert De Niro continues with Dirty Grandpa, a deplorable gross-out comedy about a grandfather who tricks his grandson into taking him to Spring Break. The charming Zac Efron and Zoey Deutch are easily the best things about this, with De Niro bumbling his way through as the foul mouthed title character – adding his dignity to the long list of things he’s lost during this woeful latter period of his career. He all but desecrates the memories of Travis Bickle, Jake LaMotta and Vito Corleone in a rushed and desperate mess of a film, the worst he has ever appeared in by a long way.
