For all its award nominations and Oscar bothering craftsmanship, Steve Jobs has still somehow slid under the radar. With the feel of a theatre piece, the screenplay focusses in on his broken relationships – the daughter he initially disowned, Jeff Daniels’ father figure, and the surprising Seth Rogen as his Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The pedigree on the film is phenomenal, from the astoundingly good cast to the typically great script from Aaron Sorkin, all coming together like clockwork under the flawless and exhilarating direction of Danny Boyle. Dialogue heavy in the best way possible, this is a masterclass in filmmaking from start to finish.
