Despite its promising trailers, another generic disappointment for DC. With an inconsistent cast and no plot to speak of, Suicide Squad drops to depths even Batman Vs Superman couldn’t reach. Where that movie attempted a bludgeoning philosophical outlook, this subtracts any profoundness for attitude, failing miserably. It’s soundtrack and character introductions come on like a cringe worthy Guardians Of The Galaxy redux, and only Margot Robbie as fan favourite Harley Quinn leaves any lasting impression. This is a forced, woefully misjudged attempt to bring some life to an increasingly stale movie universe. And the less said about Jared Leto’s Joker the better.
